BROWN SUGAR BANANA FILLING:

  • 3/4 cup l?ght brown sugar ???k?d

  • ??n?h ??lt 
  • 3 r???-f?rm b?n?n?? peeled and sliced 

FRENCH TOAST:

  • 8 l?rg? ?gg? 
  • 1 ?u? milk preferably wh?l? or 2% 
  • 1 ?u? h?lf ?nd h?lf 
  • 2 t?bl?????n? l?ght brown ?ug?r 
  • 1 t??????n gr?und ??nn?m?n 
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla ?xtr??t 
  • On? 15 oz l??f Fr?n?h br??d cut ?nt? l?rg? cubes (preferably a d?? ?r two old) 

TOPPING:

  • 1/3 cup l?ght br?wn ?ug?r ???k?d 
  • 1/3 cup ?ll ?ur???? flour 
  • 1/2 t??????n gr?und ??nn?m?n 
  • ??n?h ??lt 
  • 3 tablespoons un??lt?d butter softened 
  • To ??rv?: m??l? ??ru?, ??r?m?l sauce, ?l???d b?n?n??, chopped nut?, ?nd/?r whipped ?r??m 

INSTRUCTIONS 
BROWN SUGAR BANANA FILLING:

  1. In a skillet ??t ?v?r m?d?um heat, melt 6 t?bl?????n? butt?r. Add brown ?ug?r, m??l? ??ru?, and ??lt. C??k, stirring constantly for a f?w m?nut?? unt?l the m?xtur? ?? smooth. If there ?r? lum?? in your ?ug?r ??u might need to u?? a wh??k. On?? the mixture is ?m??th, r?m?v? from the heat ?nd ??r?full? ?t?r ?n th? bananas. S?t ???d? ?nd ???l to r??m t?m??r?tur? wh?l? ??u ?r???r? th? Fr?n?h t???t. 

FRENCH TOAST PREPARATION (ALLOW TIME TO SOAK OVERNIGHT):

  1. In a l?rg? bowl, wh??k eggs, milk, h?lf ?nd half, brown sugar, cinnamon, ?nd v?n?ll?. 
  2. Gr???? a 2 1/2 or 3 quart ?????r?l? dish and ?l??? h?lf th? br??d ?ub?? ?n th? b?tt?m. S???n half ?f th? banana-brown ?ug?r m?xtur? ?v?r th? br??d. Top w?th th? r?m??n?ng bread ?ub??. 
  3. Pour th? ?u?t?rd (egg m?xtur?) ?v?nl? over th? bread ?ub??. L?ghtl? ?r??? d?wn ?n the t?? ?f th? br??d t? allow th? t?? l???r of bread to ?b??rb some ?f th? ?u?t?rd m?xtur?.
