  • 2 ?t??k? (1 ?u?) un??lt?d butter, at room t?m??r?tur? 
  • 5 cups confectioner's ?ug?r, ??ft?d 
  • ju??? of 1 ?nd 1/2 lemons (?b?ut 3-4 t?bl?????n?) 
  • (optional) 1 small dr?? ??ll?w gel f??d ??l?r?ng 

Instructions 

  1. Preheat ?v?n t? 350F Butt?r ?nd fl?ur 2 n?n-?t??k 9 inch ??k? ??n? (??u can u?? 8 inch ??n?, as well, ju?t ?n?r???? the cooking t?m?.) I l?k? to ?ut a r?und of ??r?hm?nt paper ?n th? bottom of th? pans ju?t t? insure a g??d release. 
  2. Cr??m th? butter and sugar together unt?l light ?nd fluff?, ??r???ng d?wn the ??d?? of th? b?wl ?? necessary. 
  3. Beat ?n th? ?gg ??lk?, ?n? ?t a time. In a ????r?t? bowl beat th? egg wh?t?? until ??ft peaks form. 
  4. Wh??k t?g?th?r th? fl?ur, b?k?ng powder, ??lt, and b?k?ng ??d?. Add to the butter mixture ?lt?rn?t?l? w?th th? ??gurt ?nd m?x unt?l well ??mb?n?d. S?r??? d?wn th? b?wl. F?ld in th? whipped egg wh?t??, and wh?n n? white streaks remain, f?ld ?n th? b?rr???.
